We have fished with guides all over the country and JR Is one of the best we’ve ever fished with. He is extremely knowledgeable and works tirelessly to make sure you have a memorable trip! He even gave us a recommendation for a great restaurant that cooked up a delicious meal that included our fresh caught black drum. Highly recommend a trip with Wood’s Guide Service! We will be back!

My family and I spent two days fishing with chasing reds and trout, and could not have been more pleased with the experience. He is extremely talented at finding and hooking up with fish, and while in between fish, he is a lot of fun to chat and exchange stories with. Can’t wait to fish with him next time we are in Port A!

We took the team and some key clients out for the weekend. We came across Captain JR through a recommendation from a local friend and it was perfect. He knew where to go and gave clear direction. For me, knowing I had different levels of fisherman from novice to well experienced, I felt his tone and direction was what it needed to be. Everyone had fun, there was no tension or pressure.
